Accountant, Supply Chain (f/m/d) – temporary contract

Your role:

We’re in business to save our home planet. You’ll be helping us achieve this by managing and monitoring NL inventory and warehouse related matters. You will be financially responsible for all goods that enter and leave our NL warehouse. We will move to a brand new warehouse in Q3 2025 and NL Inventory accountant is expected to support the initial phase of this transition.

This job requires working closely with different functions within the organization, such as Logistics, Wholesale, eCom, Retail and IT.


Main tasks:

• Responsible for all warehouse finance related topics (inventory management, inventory reconciliation, cost management, inventory control) for our NL warehouse.

• Responsible for all inbound and outbound finance related topics (inbound and outbound transport, putting stock on shelf, price checks and approvals) for our NL warehouse.

• Contributing to the month end close, interim audit and year end close processes, potentially be point of contact for all supply chain related topics to our auditors.

• Initiate improvements to streamline our processes with a high interest to implement technology solutions, identify new reporting requirements and work on continuous improvements.

• Create visibility, analysis and insights via business intelligence tools to support and drive business decisions.

• Maintain, record and reconcile subledgers and ledgers for the inventory accounting within required time frames, e.g Inventory finished goods / intercompany / standard price cost analysis / inventory in transit / returns / inventory adjustments / retail warehousing / PPV / freight.

• Analysis of certain metrics such as inventory ageing / inventory turnover / days sales outstanding / cost prices / margin analysis / discounts for our NL warehouse.

• Review of costs and handling of invoices related to the activities linked to the NL warehouse

• Support on all daily operations (invoicing, channel queries, IT queries).

• Building strong relationships with different stakeholders within the organization

• Adhoc requests, within the organization and team


What we’re looking for:

• A love of the outdoors

• A passion for saving our home planet and making a positive impact through your work

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

• Warehousing, freight and inventory accounting experience would be considered as a plus.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and experience working with large datasets.

• Knowledge of business intelligence tools like PowerBI or Tableau would be a plus.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O would be considered as a plus.

• Interest in creating reporting and analysis.

• Ability to work under tight schedules.

• Flexible attitude & good team player.

• Attention to details and self-organized person, able to work with minimum supervision

• Proactive with a “can do” attitude.

• Fluency in English.


Other important details:

• This is a Full-time position based in Amsterdam intended to support our team till the end of December 2024. If you are successful in the interviewing process, we will offer you a temporary contract until 31.12.2024.

• We have a hybrid work model, working from home for maximum 3 days per week
