Your internship:

We’re in business to save our home planet. As a People & Culture Intern, you will support the P&C Generalist Retail and the wider retail community across EMEA. Your work will contribute to improving employee experience and operational efficiency through hands-on support and small improvement projects in recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and data management. 


Your tasks:

Retail Recruitment Support 

  • Assist in coordinating retail recruitment processes during peak periods. 

  • Help manage and update job postings and positions in HireHive. 

Data & Systems Management 

  • Help maintain and update retail-related data in Workday (e.g., approvals, terminations, data changes) on a weekly basis. 

  • Support quality control of employment contracts and ensure accuracy in documentation. 

Onboarding & Offboarding 

  • Contribute to improving onboarding and offboarding processes, including streamlining communications and documentation. 

Employee Journey / Experience 

  • Supporting in the celebration of Patagonia Service Awards 

  • Supporting in the reporting of employee sickness absence  

  • Processing contract extensions and changes in hours in line with peak periods in store 

Process Improvement Projects 

Collaborate with the P&C Generalist Retail on small-scale projects aimed at improving data quality, process efficiency, and employee experience. 

What we’re looking for:

  • An inclusive mindset.

  • Enrolled in University or higher education studies related to Human Resources, Psychology, Educational Sciences, Business Administration or similar for the duration of the internship. 

  • Fluency in spoken and written English, other languages are a plus. 

  • Curiosity, analytical skills and a passion for learning. 

  • Attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and general ability to learn new tools and systems quickly.  

  • Good communication skills, including effective listening and writing. 

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills. 

  • A love of the outdoors 

  • A passion for saving our home planet and making a positive impact through your internship 

Other important details:

  • This is a full-time 6-month internship based in Amsterdam, starting from February / March 2026.

  • We have a hybrid work model, working from home for 2-3 days per week, but encourage our interns to be in the office more often.

  • Please note: this internship is not suitable for completing a thesis project.
