Your role:

We are in business to save our home planet. You’ll be helping us achieve this by  looking after and being responsible to keep our systems running smoothly and for issue resolution or escalation that arise across the organization.

 

You will play a key role on the IT Team and assisting with the development, testing and maintenance of IT Infrastructure components while ensuring system alignment with organizational needs, European and Global strategy and managing the relationship with our IT service providers.

 

As IT Systems Administrator you will also be responsible for the ongoing management, improvements and operations of Patagonia’s IT environment such as Windows, Azure, Networking equipment.

  

Main tasks:  

• You will be a key player in our IT Team, from problem detection to overseeing and providing support for the system adoption lifecycle and enhancements for our colleague’s. 

• Provide Tier 2 and 3 support for IT Helpdesk support function assisting users with support issues and act as backup for the IT Helpdesk support and other IT Security team members. 

• Daily management of Patagonia’s IT environment and platforms such as Windows, Azure. 

• Provide technical guidance to our colleagues to best integrate specific platforms into Patagonia IT Infrastructure. 

• Support and validate completeness of system requirements, user stories, development, test scripts and overall documentation. 

• Support and analyze design sessions in prototyping new and secured configuration, extensions and integrations to enhance business processes, operations and information process flows. 

• Work with the overall IT team and external developers to plan and execute various project work as needed 

• Perform structured testing and acceptance of applications in case of upgrades, implementations or other changes related to our IT Infrastructure, when applicable 

• Monitor and proactively resolve network connectivity, server and endpoint issue’s for our offices and retail stores. 

• Play an active role in user training to enable efficient use and adoption of systems and processes and provide customized training to employees. 

• Maintain current knowledge, documentation and understanding of IT Infrastructure components, applications and architecture. • Document network systems including standard operational procedures, network topology, and hardware inventory. 

• Software/Support license tracking and purchasing. 

• Continuously inform oneself about the latest trends and developments and evaluate and suggest new functionality and system enhancements to achieve optimum system performance and streamline processes 


What we’re looking for:

• A love of the outdoors

• Minimum 3 years of network administration experience in a multi-platform environment.

• Industry certifications preferred (i.e. Azure ,Palo Alto, Meraki, Cisco, Microsoft, Cloud environments etc.).

• Direct experience with Palo Alto, Panorama, Meraki, Cisco, Microsoft Azure and associated technologies.

• Direct working experience with server virtualization and associated networking configurations.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in connectivity and configurations required for efficient remote access. Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki, MPLS.

• Experienced in working directly with business, external partners and service providers.

• Ability to deal ethically with confidential information and ensure good data transfer management.

• Fluent English is a must, other languages a plus.

• Excellent analytic and problem-solving skill, as well as, strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Able to work well under pressure and with multiple project deadlines.

• Ability to switch between projects and specific day-to-day responsibilities.

• Self-motivated, self-starter, detail-oriented, good follow-through, and able to meet deadlines

 

Other important details:

• This is a full time position, based in Amsterdam.

• We have a hybrid work model, working from home for maximum 3 days per week
